Welcome to the Youth Civic Bridge blog. This is where we'll share what our students are working on, what we're learning about how civic systems really work, and how young people can turn public data into real community action.
When I started YCB, I kept coming back to one idea: you can't change a system you don't understand. Over the past year, our students have dug into school funding models, city budgets, and policy documents that most adults never read. Along the way, they've found stories worth telling.
We'll use this space for a few things. Reflections from workshops. Plain-language breakdowns of civic topics that usually feel out of reach. And updates on the projects our students are leading. If you're a student, a parent, or an educator, we hope you find something here that's useful.
